After 10 years in 2018, Elvis Costello's first new album in two years, "Look Now," a rock album under the name "Elvis Costello & The Imposters," won Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 62nd Grammy Awards in 2020. The album was co-produced by Sebastian Cristo, as on the previous album. This album was recorded in Helsinki, Paris, and New York. All songs were mixed in LA by Sebastian Christs. The previously released singles "No Flag", "Hetty O'Hara Confidential", and "We Are All Cowards Now" were recorded solo in Helsinki by recording engineer Eetu Seppala in February of this year. He then went to Paris to work on "Les Cawers Now". Immediately after that, he went to Paris for a weekend session at Les Studios Saint Germain, where he recorded nine songs in two days. The Paris session was led by Costello's friend Steve Nieve and included an ensemble he named "Le Quintette Saint Germain" (Le Quintette Saint Germain).The New York session was produced by composer/arranger/trumpeter Michael Leonhardt, with collaborations from guitarists Bill Frisell and Nels Cline, and was completed with lyrics and vocals from Costello "through the electrical wire. Costello added lyrics and vocals "through electrical wires" to the music to complete the album. This product will be available for purchase on Friday, and will be delivered on or after the day of release.
