Description:

180g vinyl reissue of Billie Holiday's live performance at Carnegie Hall in 1956, which is regarded as one of the best recordings of her later years. This live performance was held to promote Billy's autobiography "Lady Sings the Blues," and is interspersed throughout with readings by Gilbert Milstein. The original was released in 1961, about two years after Billy's death on July 17, 1959 at the age of 44. This work was reissued at 180g weight.
