Description:
Filippo Golini was born in Italy and studied under Alfredo Brendel, and won first prize and the audience prize at the 2015 Bonn Beethoven International Competition. For his first album, he boldly chose to perform the Diabelli Variations (ALPHA 296), which was highly acclaimed by Diapason magazine, the BBC, and Le Monde. The second release, which is now in its full glory, is "Hammerklavier" and Beethoven's last sonata. For Golini, who is now in his early twenties, Beethoven symbolizes bravery in the face of life's adversities and is a deeply moving presence, and he feels this story particularly in the latter piano sonata. This strong feeling gave birth to a powerful performance filled with youth and strength. Naxos Japan
