Ginette Neveu
Description:
From the best masters, remastered 24bit/96kHz in 2019 by STUDIO ART & SON, ANNECY, Paris. 180g analog LP vinyl. Limited first pressing only. Ginette Neveu (1919-1949) attracted great attention when she won the Wieniawski International Competition at the age of 15, beating out David Oistrakh. He was a world-renowned musician and was greeted with great acclaim in many parts of the world, but in the midst of his busy touring career, Neveu boarded a plane to the United States and was killed in a terrible accident in Portugal that killed all the passengers and crew. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth and the 70th anniversary of his death in 2019, we are re-releasing the album in its best condition, remastered at Art&Son Studio Annecy in Paris from the best and most valuable masters in the Warner (formerly EMI) archives. The dense emotion of the work shown here is not only a feat that only a genius could have achieved, but also a powerful one that only the young Neveu could have achieved without the slightest hint of his youth.
