Here in our production room, our south-facing window shows us colorful houses by day, and glorious skies over a sliver of shining ocean at sunset. Our team put together this set after shipping by the window all afternoon, on an especially pink and glowy evening. It’s an homage to the place where the bright and pastel hues of the landscape and the light meet to inspire us—our beloved San Francisco neighborhood, reflected in eight special blends!

This set comes in our compact and elegant Simple Travel Palette in Mint. Our premade sets also include a swatch card letterpress printed by our friends at Aesthetic Union—what better way to get to know your new colors than a meditative swatching session?!

All of our watercolors are handmade in our shop using the highest quality earth and synthetic pigments, plus natural watercolor binding medium made from gum arabic (sap from acacia trees), honey, glycerine, distilled water, and a dash of clove oil for freshness!

Some of our premade sets and custom blends contain colors which are not lightfast. Fading can be reduced by coating finished pieces in a UV protective varnish and/or keeping them out of direct sunlight. You can view a list of non-lightfast colors here.

All of our watercolors conform to ASTM D-4236.
