The RAF Police are the users of this version of the Land Rover ½ ton Lightweight and they are on the prowl in Cyprus at the RAF base in Akrotiri. This time the colour scheme is white on a black chassis with the customary olive green canvas back. The interior, including the seats, is finished off in pine green with black steering wheel. An orange band runs along the waist of the Land Rover from front to back with additional trim in silver. A clue to its purpose is the red and silver RAF POLICE plate embedded into the front bumper below the military registration plate 44 AJ 04. Another indication of it being a Police vehicle is the blue roof beacon. Rowdy revellers beware – an enforced lift back to camp may be on the cards!
