"Getting lost for the sake of adventure... opening doors and making new discoveries... every end coinciding with a new beginning." Elizabeth Ladwig

"End of the Earth" features a night scene where a large, luminescent full moon dominates the background. The moon provides a backdrop for the silhouette of a person standing in the middle of railroad tracks that lead directly toward the moon. The person, a female figure, is standing with arms raised upwards as a gesture of reaching out to the moon. Three birds are in mid-flight, cutting across the moon's surface, adding to the sense of movement and life within the stillness of the scene. Electricity pylons stand tall on both sides of the tracks, emulating the vertical lines of the tracks themselves but also creating a contrasting man-made element against the natural splendor of the moon. The sky is dotted with stars, hinting at the vastness of space behind the moon. The entire scene evokes feelings of solitude, contemplation, and wonderment, as the character seems to be in a moment of connection with the cosmos. The perspective and composition draw the viewer's eye towards the central figure and upwards, following the lines of the electricity cables that intersect with the stars above.
