The Electrocorder DC-3V-RS is a three-channel DC voltage logger for monitoring batteries, DC supplies, charging circuits, photovoltaic systems, DC motors, telecoms circuits and other DC voltage sources.
Use it when you need to record one, two or three DC voltage channels over time. The DC-3V-RS has selectable ranges for lower and higher DC voltage monitoring, making it useful for diagnosing battery, charger, PV, power supply and DC control-circuit behaviour.

What you get:
Set up the logger in Electrosoft, connect the voltage leads to the DC points being monitored, then start recording. When enough data has been captured, disconnect the logger, connect it to a PC by USB and use Electrosoft to view, save, export and report on the results.
Typical applications: The DC-3V-RS is intended for DC voltage-only investigations where several voltage points need to be logged at the same time.
What the DC-3V-RS records:
Why constant sampling matters: many instruments only take periodic snapshots. The Electrocorder continuously samples throughout the averaging period, helping capture short events, changing loads and trend data that can otherwise be missed.
Recording duration depends on the selected averaging period. External 12 Vdc power is recommended where available to preserve the internal batteries during longer studies.
The logger is designed to be installed by a competent person, generally an electrician or engineer. If suitable isolated test points are available, it can often be fitted without interrupting the system being monitored.

Free Electrosoft PC software
Electrosoft is compatible with Windows 11 down to Windows 7. It lets you view and zoom current, power and energy graphs, export data to Microsoft Excel, email results to colleagues, and print or save reports as PDF files with your company logo.
Electrosoft includes statistics, load balancing, tariff and costing analysis, annual CO2 and energy usage projections, logger management and calibration management tools. Sample files are included so you can try the software without having a logger connected.

When to choose the DC-3V-RS
Choose this model when the investigation is about DC voltage behaviour and multiple voltage channels are more important than current or energy calculation.

If current and energy are also required, consider the DC-3VA. If the application is solar PV output with irradiance, consider the PV-3. If only solar irradiance is needed, consider the SR-1R.
Key features:
Measurement note
The DC-3V-RS records DC voltage only. It does not measure DC current, power or energy by itself.

What does the DC-3V-RS measure?
It records one, two or three channels of DC voltage.
What voltage ranges are available?
It supports selectable ranges of 0.5 V to 60 V and 1 V to 300 V.
Does it measure DC current?
No. For DC current and energy as well as voltage, consider the DC-3VA.
Can it be used on PV systems?
Yes, it can record DC voltage on PV cells or arrays where voltage-only data is required.
What software is used to analyse the data?
Electrosoft PC software is used to configure the logger, download recorded data, view graphs, export data and create reports.
