250 GTO chassis #3757GT
Probably the best known GTO ever. The number 22 car was entered in the 1962 Le Mans 24 hours by Equipe Nationale Belge / Écurie Francorchamps and driven by Le Mans regulars ‘Eldé’ (Leon Dernier) and ‘Beurlys’ (Jean Blaton). This car finished 3rd overall and 2nd in the GT3.0 class.
The car featured 2 side vents at the time, but was later converted to the 3 vent configuration we can see today. After an extensive racing career, which included outings in the 1962 Tour de France and numerous hillclimbs, the car was eventually bought by Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason.
