The EPRO CON021+PR6423/010-010-CN is an eddy current sensor that is used to measure the displacement, vibration, and thickness of conductive materials. It is a non-contact sensor, which means that it does not need to physically touch the material being measured. This makes it ideal for applications where it is difficult or impossible to make contact with the material, such as in high-temperature or high-pressure environments.

The sensor consists of a coil and a permanent magnet. The coil generates an alternating current (AC) magnetic field. When the sensor is brought near a conductive material, the AC magnetic field induces eddy currents in the material. The eddy currents create their own magnetic field, which opposes the AC magnetic field from the coil. The strength of the opposing magnetic field is proportional to the distance between the sensor and the material.

The sensor's output voltage is proportional to the strength of the opposing magnetic field. This voltage can be used to measure the displacement, vibration, or thickness of the material.
