The Toyo Open Country WLT1 is a highway terrain, winter tire manufactured for light trucks. The tire promotes great winter weather traction. The tread pattern design features large, staggered tread blocks and a high-density siping detail that firmly grips the ice- and snow-covered road surfaces. The wide circumferential and lateral grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire’s footprint. The tread’s deep grooves also maintain a clean footprint by eliminating snow stuck between the tread elements, which prevents the tire from being blocked from its contact with the road surface. As a result, the tire received its three mountain peak and snowflake symbol that indicates its capability to handling the most severe winter weather.
