Banhez Ensamble Mezcal is an artisanal Oaxacan mezcal produced by a co-operative of farming families in San Miguel Ejutla. It is made from an ensamble of Espadín and Barril agave, combining cultivated and wild varieties to create a balanced, characterful style that reflects traditional community-led production.

The agaves are roasted in earthen pit ovens, crushed using a horse-drawn tahona, naturally fermented and double distilled in copper stills. This hands-on, small-scale process preserves the integrity of the agave while delivering a clean, approachable mezcal with subtle smokiness.

It has tropical fruit, citrus and herbal notes, underpinned by gentle smoke and a soft peppery finish. Smooth and versatile, it works equally well neat or in cocktails, making it an accessible introduction to mezcal.
