The AGM Rattler TC35-384 is a compact thermal imaging clip-on system that converts a standard daytime rifle scope into a thermal optic in seconds — no tools, no special equipment required. Built around a 384x288 resolution uncooled thermal detector with a NETD of less than 35mK and a 35mm F/1.0 germanium lens, it delivers a detection range of 1,750 meters (1,750 yards) against a 6-foot target. The Rattler TC35-384 attaches in front of day scopes with up to 8x magnification and ships with an American Defense Manufacturing quick-detach mount. It carries a 5-year warranty.
The core of the Rattler TC35-384 is a 17-micron-pitch uncooled vanadium oxide detector running at 50 Hz with 384x288 pixel resolution. The NETD rating of less than 35mK indicates the sensor resolves temperature differences as small as 0.035 degrees Celsius — a meaningful threshold for detecting partially concealed animals or humans against cluttered backgrounds. The 35mm F/1.0 germanium lens produces a 10.0-degree horizontal by 8.0-degree vertical field of view, keeping the image tight enough for medium-range target identification.
Image processing includes Adaptive Automatic Gain Control, Digital Detail Enhancement, and 3D Digital Noise Reduction. The output feeds to a 0.39-inch OLED display at 748x561 resolution. Two imaging palettes — Jungle and Recognition — are selectable on-device. Digital zoom steps through 1x, 2x, 4x, and 8x.
The Rattler TC35-384 records video and captures still images directly to 16 GB of built-in eMMC storage. Wi-Fi hotspot functionality pairs with the AGM Connect app for transferring, storing, and sharing footage from the field. The unit also supports distance measurement on-device. All media files are retained in onboard storage until manually managed through the app or USB connection.
Two CR123A (3V) lithium batteries or two RCR123 rechargeable batteries (up to 4.2V) power the unit for up to 4.5 hours of continuous operation. An external power supply connects via USB-C at 5V for extended sessions. The operating temperature range spans -20°C to +55°C (-4°F to +131°F). IP67 protection covers dust ingress and water immersion, and the chassis withstands shock and vibration loads up to 750 g/ms. Standby mode extends field deployment between active use periods.
The Rattler TC35-384 ships with an American Defense Manufacturing quick-detach mount. Front adapter rings (ARM52-30, ARM52-44, ARM52-50, ARM52-56) are available separately to mate the clip-on to different objective lens diameters. An optional AGM eyepiece for Rattler TC models and an AGM-2114 ADM low-base single-lever QR mount are also available. The system accepts day scopes with up to 8x magnification for medium-range use.
The Rattler TC35-384 mounts in front of any daytime rifle scope with magnification up to 8x. The included day scope adapter accommodates common objective diameters; front quick-release adapter rings in 30mm, 44mm, 50mm, and 56mm are available separately for a precision fit on your specific scope.
It works alongside your existing optic. The Rattler TC35-384 clips onto the front of your day scope and passes the thermal image through to your eyepiece. Remove it and your day optic returns to normal use — no zeroing change required when using the included American Defense Manufacturing quick-detach mount.
Detection range against a 6-foot object is 1,750 meters (approximately 1,750 yards). Detection range reflects the ability to identify that a target-sized object is present; identification and recognition distances will be shorter depending on conditions and target size.
Yes. The unit records video and captures still images to 16 GB of onboard eMMC storage. Wi-Fi hotspot mode connects to the AGM Connect app on your phone or tablet for live viewing, file transfer, and sharing. Files are retained on the device until manually moved or deleted.
Two CR123A lithium batteries provide up to 4.5 hours of continuous runtime. Two RCR123 rechargeable batteries (up to 4.2V) are also compatible. A USB-C port accepts 5V external power for unlimited runtime when connected to a power bank or vehicle power supply.
