Description:

Until the rise of the Nazi regime in the 1930s, Goltmark's status in the Viennese music world was very high. After World War II, however, his works were banned, and his name was almost forgotten as his works slipped from the memory of many. It was not until the end of the 20th century that the works of a series of persecuted composers began to attract attention, and Goltmark's varied and expressive compositions began to be performed. This album includes a suite and a trio. The music is attractive for its unexpectedness, such as the sudden leaps lurking in the light melodies. Naxos Japan
