Steve Hauschildt
Description:
Formerly of Emeralds and currently based in Chicago, contemporary electronic artist Steve Hauschildt has been a solo artist since his days at Emeralds, and has received critical acclaim for his post-cosmic style of ambient techno and arpeggiated electronica that utilizes digital processing, computers, and synths. He has been highly acclaimed for his post-cosmic style ambient techno and arpeggio style electronica. Previously releasing works on Kranky, he moved to Ghostly for his last album in 2018. And already, he has completed his second album on Ghostly. Recorded between tours in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Tbilisi, and Brussels, the album is an extension of the previous album, but with more freedom and a more rewarding listening experience. Silky reverbs and modulating electronic beats are effectively deployed, interweaving dissonant sounds with melodious developments, and seemingly traversing drone, minimal, ambient, and electronica in a vivid manner.Reverse Culture Music" features Chicago cellist Lia Kohl, who also appeared on Whitney's new album, and blends classical cello phrases with minimalist synths to create an elegant yet melancholic mood. This is an excellent work that draws you into its sound world from the very beginning, giving the impression that it has further broadened its sound. Domestic distribution version
