Scott has proudly introduced the completely redesigned GT rod, which manages to be lighter and sportier than previous models while retaining the smooth, progressive action, incredible feedback, and superior tippet protection that anglers have cherished for nearly 50 years across three generations.

Revolutionary Blanks: At the heart of the design is a focus on wall density using the X-Core design approach. The GT series is the first to incorporate the newest X-Core design principles, resulting in the thinnest-walled blanks ever produced. Scott integrated multi-modulus layups and ARC2 multi-directional fibers to significantly increase rod recovery and line speed, which translates directly to superior stability and casting accuracy.

Seamless Ferrule Technology: Scott completely re-engineered the signature Scott hollow internal ferrule. These updated ferrules are now up to 20% lighter and flex in perfect harmony with the blank. Marrying these new, thinner walls with the updated ferrules delivers blanks with an unprecedented transmission of feel. You can sense the most subtle fish movement or the faintest strike detection. Crucially, the connections between sections disappear, making these 4- and 5-piece rods feel virtually continuous.
