A sterling example of people-first design, Borge Mogensen’s Asserbo Bench demonstrates the Danish designer’s approach to function and form. Perfectly proportioned, the solid, dark-oiled FSC-certified eucalyptus seat has gently rounded edges and visible brushed brass screws. Available with a fixed or wall-mounted backrest, as well as cushions in leather or fabric, the customizable design has a warm and welcoming expression.

Informal and functional, the Asserbo Series was created by Borge Mogensen in 1961 to furnish his private holiday home. Part of Borge Mogensen’s Asserbo Series of Shaker-inspired furniture, created by the Danish designer in 1961 for his own holiday home, the Asserbo Backrest is made for the series’ bench. The rounded design in solid, dark-oiled FSC-certified eucalyptus with visible brass screws attaches to a wall to provide back support when seated.
