Introducing PLASTEC's Constant and Variable Air Volume controllers. Designed for Fume Hood applications.  

The advanced Constant Air Volume (CAV) controller is equipped with a speed sensor, which continuously monitors the face velocity of the sash opening. This ensures that the airflow remains optimal at all times. If any malfunction or insufficient airflow is detected, the CAV controller immediately notifies the user through audible and visual alarms.

The CAV controller's digital seven-segment display provides real-time front air speed velocity in FPM, giving users accurate and immediate data. The controller offers the convenience of a push button to effortlessly activate the blower and seamlessly integrate the lighting system.

The Variable Air Volume (VAV) controller comes in two options: VAV PID and VAV 2-Speed. Both options come with a speed sensor that will monitor the face velocity of the sash opening.  The PID version sends a 0/10v signal to a frequency inverter that will adjust the air speed to maintain sufficient face velocity. The 2-Speed version uses two position switches that will change the flow depending on the sash height.

The VAV controller shares the same digital seven-segment display as its CAV counterpart, offering real-time face velocity readings in FPM. The VAV features a push button to activate the blower and an additional button and terminal for a lighting system.
