"Change Takes Time" is a print that has taken some time to make! The first layer was printed in 2017 out at my farm studio. It sat in my flat files until I decided it was time to finish it in 2021. The design ultimately changed over time too - I actually don't remember the original design but it was faintly still drawn on the block. It now speaks of the struggles but also joy and completeness when a long awaited change occurs. Change can be difficult and change can be good. Whatever change it is that you are struggling with or longing for, it will take time. But what a wonderful feeling it will be when it is obtained!
Printed on white thick cotton paper with yellow, orange, sprout green, forest green, and blue-green inks from a hand carved Shina wood block sourced from a sustainable forest in Hokkaido, Japan. Created by the reductive process with four layers from one woodblock. Title, artist signature, edition number, and year of production appear on front of each print and on the back of each frame.
