How Much Fire Glass Do You Need?

Fire Glass is a decorative topping, so you only need enough to cover the surface of your fire feature with a layer approximately 1 ½" to 2" deep. For the rest of the space, use a filler material like lava rock to raise the level to where the fire ring sits.

Installation Tips:

• Screen Material: To prevent the Fire Glass from sinking below the lava rock, we recommend using a screen material. Stucco lathe (available at local hardware stores) works well as a screen, ensuring your Fire Glass stays in place.
