Smooth and quiet autofocus

An STM stepping autofocus motor provides fast, smooth and near-silent focusing. This system is supported by a rear focus design, advanced AF algorithms and a high-speed CPU, making the lens effective for both stills and video. Full-time manual focus override allows for fine-tuned control whenever needed.

Built-in image stabilisation

An Optical Image Stabilizer helps minimise the appearance of camera shake by up to 3.5 stops. This makes it easier to shoot handheld in low light or at slower shutter speeds while maintaining sharp results.

Refined out-of-focus rendering
