Designed by Julien Renault, the Layout Armchair 223 and 224 variants offer a flexible and innovative design with a focus on comfort, functionality and circularity. Characterised by an opening in the backrest, this feature enhances comfort and lends the chair a light, transparent appearance.

Featuring a moulded foam upholstered seat and back that provide soft cushioning and a warm, inviting expression, the chair has rounded wooden legs that offer stability and a timeless appeal. With sustainability in mind, the chair’s components can be fully disassembled to extend its lifespan and allow refurbishment over time. The shell is crafted as a single piece with integrated armrests, enhancing durability and offering versatile support. 

Made from a minimum of 96% post-consumer recycled plastic, the shell is available in a variety of colours and can be paired with a range of upholstered seat options. The water-based lacquered solid wood legs, reinforced with an aluminium support plate, provide strength and balance, complementing the shell’s elegant expression and ensuring lasting reliability. With its clean, minimal design, the Layout Armchair Upholstered is suitable for use from dining to office settings, in both home and public spaces.
