Louisville's Coal Miners took the diamond in 1898 as part of the Colorado State League, representing a small mining town where baseball and hard labor shared the same dust. In Louisville, Colorado, the game gave working men something to rally around after long shifts underground. Some teams are remembered not for championships, but for the community they carried. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
