The NV-2 Night Vision Scope works in two ways depending on the ambient lighting conditions. In total or near-total darkness, the NV-2’s infrared (IR) beam is activated to provide clear, detailed views. You can adjust the intensity of the IR beam to observe subjects at different distances with increased clarity. In dim conditions, such as at dawn and dusk, you can observe without activating the IR beam by using the NV-2’s low illumination CCD.

The Celestron NV-2 Night Vision Scope features a VGA 640x480 color display for enhanced image quality. The screen brightness can adjust automatically based on the brightness of the environment.

Capture Things that Go Bump in the Night

Want to record your nighttime observations? The NV-2 features both still image and video recording capability. Save your photos and videos to the included 8 GB microSD memory card or swap the card out for a microSD card of your own.

You can play back images and videos in the field or take your scope home and transfer your recordings to your Mac or Windows PC via the USB 2.0 cable. The computer will automatically recognize the content on the memory card. You’ll also receive an audio/video output cable to display your videos on the big screen—compatible with both PAL and NTSC monitors.
