The New Works Mass Coffee Table is constructed from thick rectangular planes, with walnut grain running continuously across the top surface and visible edges. The matte lacquer holds the finish flat with no surface sheen. The tabletop sits on a low base of the same construction, with no taper or transition between the horizontal plane and the supporting structure. The table reads as a single solid mass.

Identical finish on every visible surface

Top face, edges, and base all receive the same walnut veneer and matte lacquer, with no secondary material or contrasting band anywhere on the form. The matte lacquer wipes clean and holds its flat finish over time.
