Mouldlife's Platsil Deadener LV is designed to use alongside the Platsil Gel range to help soften the piece and eliminate the snappy, synthetic feel of the silicone creating a piece that is very close to the look and texture/feel of real human skin. 

The Platsil Gel range of silicones are vital in special effects prosthetics to provide an ultra realistic look and feel when replicating human skin. 

The letters LV indicate that PlatSil Deadener LV has a lower viscosity than Smiths Theatrical Prosthetic Deadener (which can also be used to soften the Platsil Gel series of silicones). 

Will soften the Platsil Gel without any oil leaching. Various degrees of softness can be obtained by varying the amount of Deadner added. 

It’s important to note that you must always add the deadener to Part A BEFORE mixing it with Part B. 

It is always recommended to run a test cure first to determine the appropriate amount to add for your appliances. 

You can create a thin layer of non-deadened PlatSil Gel backed with a layer of deadened PlatSil Gel to mimic the surface tension of skin.
