Fairfield Circuitry ~900: Ferocious Four Knob Fuzz

And when things are combined, is anything lost? And when something is lost, will there ever be more? But what is the gain? The ~900 is a ferocious fuzz pedal featuring two cascading JFET gain stages. Tracing its lineage back to our discontinued Four Eyes Fuzz, it offers a very wide range of gain, adds delicious harmonics and, if given the opportunity, will slap the ice cream cone right out of your hand.

Powerful Fuzz with Interactive Controls

The ~900 features four highly interactive controls that allow you to sculpt your sound with precision:

• INPUT: Controls the input gain, setting the foundation for your fuzz tone.
• FUZZ: Adjusts the second stage gain, adding layers of distortion and harmonic complexity.
• BIAS: Modifies the second stage bias and gain, influencing the character and texture of the fuzz.
• VOLUME: Sets the overall output level, ensuring your signal cuts through the mix.

These controls work together to provide a versatile range of fuzz tones, from subtle and smooth to wild and aggressive.

Notes on Powering

The ~900 was designed to operate using your typical centre-negative, regulated 9 VDC power supply. The pedal is protected against reversed polarity conditions. Always check your power supply for proper voltage and polarity before connecting. There is no battery connection inside the pedal.
