Designed by Julien Renault, the Layout Chair 143 and 144 variants offer a flexible and innovative design with a focus on comfort, functionality and circularity. Characterised by an opening in the backrest, this feature enhances comfort and lends the chair a light, transparent appearance.

Featuring a swivel five-star castor base with a height-adjustable gas lift, the chair offers smooth, effortless movement for flexible positioning and comfortable everyday use. A moulded foam upholstered seat and back provide soft cushioning and a warm, inviting expression. The upholstery features a removable fabric cover, available to purchase separately, with a discreet zipper concealed within the backrest cutout. By avoiding the use of glued foam, the cover can be easily removed and replaced when required. With sustainability in mind, the chair’s components can be fully disassembled to extend its lifespan and allow refurbishment over time. The shell is crafted as a single piece, enhancing durability and offering flexible support. Its subtly contoured form provides comfortable support for the body.

Made from a minimum of 96% post-consumer recycled plastic, the shell is available in a variety of colours and can be paired with a range of upholstered seat options. Crafted from semi-gloss black powder-coated or polished aluminium, the base provides strength and balance, highlighting the shell’s elegant expression and offering reliable performance over time. With its clean, minimal design, the Layout Chair is suitable for use from dining to office settings, in both home and public spaces.
