How to Change a Pelican™ PUV-14-Lamp

Step 1: Turn off the water supply valve to the UV sterilizer.

Step 2: Turn on a faucet elsewhere in the home to depressurize the system.

Step 3: Unplug the UV system to disconnect it from power.

Step 4: Allow the system to cool for 5 to 10 minutes.

Step 5: Put on clean gloves.

Step 6: Squeeze the tabs on the lamp connector and lift it straight up.

Step 7: Disconnect the lamp connector from the Pelican™ PUV-14-Lamp.

Step 8: Remove the Pelican™ PUV-14-Lamp from the system.

Step 9: Insert the new Pelican™ PUV-14-Lamp into the system.

Step 10: Align the longest pin on the lamp with the shortest pin on the lamp connector.

Step 11: Once the lamp and connector are aligned, slide the assembly down towards the chamber until you hear a click, indicating it is attached.

Step 12: Hold down the reset button on the side of the power supply to reset the day counter, then plug in the UV system.

Step 13: The screen will display "RSET."

Step 14: Slowly open the water supply valve to the UV sterilizer.

Step 15: Check for leaks.

Step 16: Turn off the faucet elsewhere in the home.
