This tip angle is sharper than standard. Its can be used for marking all metals but is more suitable for softer metals.

The sharper angle helps achieve a deeper mark or finer mark.

Extra length pin provides extra reach for marking futher past the guide foot. Applicable for marking into recesses or where there are obsticales for the the guide foot.

As per the standard hardness, some of our customers get about 2 years out of a pin whereas other will purchase a new pin yearly. Pin life is dependant on how hard your material is, how hard you are marking and the frequency of use. Companies replacing a pin a year typically mark 350 grade, operating the unit frequently all day.
