A nice John Bradford “Legacy” model bamboo fly rod, 8’, 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #5 line. Serial #1685. The rod weighs 4.3 ounces. Mint, uncast condition. The action is medium fast DF. Light tan color cane with the nodes in an opposed spiral pattern. The tips are mirrored. The main wraps are brown with yellow edges. The stripping guide is an orange agate and the snake guides are oxidized black. The step ferrules are also oxidized jet black. The cork grip is 6 1/2” long and styled to a blunt cigar profile. The reel seat spacer is well varnished and the ring and pocket cap are oxidized nickel silver. The pocket cap is stamped “The J.A. Bradford Co, Maker.” The rod comes with a tan cloth bag with tags and a brass and cork ferrule plug attached on a line to the top of the bag. The black anodized aluminum tube has brass hardware and the Bradford data sticker.
