Before Space Jam, there was Hare Jordan. In September 1991, photographer Roxanne McCann was on set in Los Angeles when Nike filmed the Super Bowl XXVI commercial that first put Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny in the same frame, planting the seed for one of the most beloved sports films ever made. The ad cost nearly $1 million to produce and required 3,000 hand-drawn illustrations by 25 artists. Jordan's agent David Falk saw the reaction and pushed Warner Bros. to take it further, pitching a feature film with no script and no story. The result earned $250 million at the box office and $1.2 billion in merchandise. The shot captures Jordan at the height of his powers, fresh off his first NBA championship and two seasons into the dynasty that would define a generation. Now available as a limited edition of 495 numbered prints, with the story behind the photograph on the reverse.
