Stunning 18ct White Vintage Diamond ring in 18ct White Gold with a Platinum setting. The ring features a Natural Round Transitional cut diamond in saw pierced filigree setting. The setting features scalloped cut aways with six delicate little double claws securing the feature stone. The band is a swept-up style with engraved shoulder plates cut with little rosettes. The shoulder detail is supported with a small round chenier which was common for the period. The shank is half round in profile.

Transitional cut Diamonds were cut for a few decades in the early 1900’s and are a blend of a modern brilliant cut top and older cutting styles on the bottom. These cuts evolved over time to become the modern brilliant cut we see today. The most beautiful thing about this gem is the simple flower design that is created in the gem when viewed from the top coupled with the gentle tinted colour of the natural gem. The creates a stunningly beautiful masterpiece that is extremely unique and unlikely to be seen again.
