A solar inverter is a crucial step in maintaining a balanced energy flow between your solar grid, your home, and the regular power grid. After all, most solar systems are designed to support and minimize traditional power use, not to replace it completely.
Your solar inverter monitors the flow of power between your solar grid and your home, and your home and regular power grid. When your solar grid is generating enough power, it doesn’t pull from the traditional grid; when power drops, it pulls in the power needed to run your home.
Remember that when it comes to solar grids, bigger is not automatically better. Carefully match the wattage of your inverter to your grid, or you will create inefficiency.
This inverter also features anti-islanding protection to ensure energy is not fed back to the grid or the house when the grid fails.
Current Sensor - Why do I need one?
If your DNO (the network operator) requires to limit the exported energy, the clamp current sensor is used to measure the actual energy consumption. Using this information the inverter will export back to the grid or the house from 0W to 5kW. If there is no power demand from the home appliances the inverter can stop the generation from solar. This feature is adjustable and can be switched on or off.
