A matte unglazed stoneware bell ornament with a ceramic pearl clapper suspended from wax cotton cord — ceramic on ceramic, no metal in the bell itself. Designed and produced by ferm Living.

The ferm Living Bell Ceramic Ornament uses ceramic for both the bell body and the clapper: the small uneven pearl that rings against the bell wall when the ornament moves. The traditional bell silhouette is rendered in unglazed stoneware with a consistent matte tone. The wax cotton cord suspends the bell from a tree branch or hook.

Soft ceramic ring

The ceramic-on-ceramic contact produces a softer, less metallic ring than traditional bell ornaments: closer to a tap or chime than the bright tone of metal bells.
