The Vibrocore inner of the rim is claimed to reduce harmful vibration and improve the comfort of the rider whilst also increasing the fatigue life of the rim. The wide 28mm outer rim width and 24mm inner rim width combined with the low 16.5mm profile promote radial compliance of the wheel system which is said to improve traction and again, improve rider comfort. Tubeless performance and reliability, even at low pressures, are greatly improved thanks to the Bead Nip profile of the rim bead seats.

Made from a CNC optimized forged alloy body, the Hex Gravel rear hub uses oversized sealed cartridge bearings and a precision machined aluminium axle with end cap adapters for adaptability between QR x 135mm (included), 12 x 142mm (included), and both 10 and 12 x 135mm (available separately) rear spacing and axle standards.

The 102 teeth inside the hub and 6 triple-step pawls of the Hex freehub provide 3.5° angle of engagement for lightning-fast acceleration and the HG and XD Hex freehub bodies feature Bite-Block alloy to resist damage from cassettes without the weight penalty of steel.
