Circa 1890 Thoune Swiss Plate by Louis RitschardA circa 1890s Thoune plate of St. Beatenburg and painted by Louis Ritschard (French 1817 1904). A beautifully painted, in miniature, of a lakeside scenery with a small boat on the lake. The picture is surrounded by an incised enamel triangular designed border. Beatenberg is located in the Bernese Oberland beneath the Niederhorn and high above Lake Thon. In very good condition apart from a small chip is on the reverse. Dimensions: 33cm diameter
