The Audo Copenhagen Échasse Vase raises the glass vessel on four brass legs that read as architectural support rather than decorative detail. The teardrop body is blown from softly tinted glass that contrasts against the brushed brass below. Empty or holding stems, the vase reads as an object. Proportions and material contrast carry the form whether or not it's in use.

Tinted glass on brushed brass legs

The glass is mouth-blown rather than mass-pressed, with slight tonal variation in the tint inherent to the process. The brass legs are brushed for a matte rather than mirror finish.
