---------- How Are Bent Wood Rings Made? ----------

Maple and Macassar Ebony make a beautiful combination, turning from scrap material into stunning wearable art using the bent wood ring making method.

Bent wood rings are made by wrapping thin strips of hard wood to build up strong layers that allow the grain of the wood to run around the circumference of the ring. The direction of the grain adds to the structural integrity, eliminating breaking points and making them extremely resistant to most of the demands that your day to day life will throw at them!

Each ring is meticulously turned and represents hours of intricate work. When the ring has been formed, shaped and sized an inlay channel is cut and created by hand before so the Lapiz can be set into it, creating the unique detail of the dark blue band.

A lengthy “CA finishing” process is then performed to achieve a durable and glassy look that will last for years if treated with the correct care!

A high level of skill and craftsmanship is poured into the creation of every ring to ensure you'll receive a piece of jewellery that you can love for years to come.

All of these rings can be made to order in your size! UK sizes E-Z or US 3-16 are available.

These rings can be made between 4-10mm width.

Please ensure that you measure your finger correctly and specify your size upon purchase. It is highly recommended that you get your finger sized by 2-3 jewellers at different times of the day to ensure accuracy as a resizing fee may be applied if the wrong size is requested. 



---------- Caring for your wooden ring ----------

It is advisable to take the ring off before exposing to water for prolonged periods, especially if using soaps or detergents as these can wear down the finish. You should also be careful when lifting heavy goods or rigorous sporting activities as wood is a fragile material and needs to be treated with love and care! 


---------- Dispatch and Delivery ----------

Postage and packaging are free. Each ring will take 2-3 weeks to complete.

Delivery within UK is sent first class recorded and usually takes 1-3 working days to arrive.

Overseas delivery normally takes 5-10 working days but can be up to 5 weeks depending on where in the world you are. I advise allowing at least 8 weeks for your ring to arrive to avoid disappointment.
