The tribal Afghan women and the women from other middle Eastern, Persian and Indian countries have been wearing headdresses very commonly and casually in the past.
Now a days headdresses are mostly worn at special occasions and specially during belly dancing the women wear them as they make sounds while dancing with the bells hanging on them.

This particular headdress is made by the tribal Afghan artisans by hand with a lot of details.
In the center there is a round medallion that is decorated with colored glass stones.

The center medallion has a cloth strip attached to it that goes back through the centre hair line and the two side triangles has a cloth strip that goes behind and tied to the one coming from the top. This is how you fix it and wear it. There are also silver bells hanging around through silver chains dangling.

The total circumference of the headdress is around 20 inches.
