Original to c.1905, this ruby and diamond five-stone ring is impossible to not fall in love with. It strikes the perfect balance between subtle and stunning. Set with three natural Burmese rubies with a combined weight of 0.34ct, wonderfully matched in colour, a bright and luminous magenta-pink.
Flanking the central ruby, two cushion-shape old-mine cut diamonds on either side, four in total. Distinguished by their broad, chunky facets, deep proportions and soft cushion outlines, old-mine cut diamonds are loved for their romantic glow as opposed to the sharper scintillation of modern laser-cut stones. All gemstones are set in platinum rub-over settings, finished with fine millegrain edge detail.
The gallery features intricately pierced scalloped design which compliments the rounded outline of each gemstone. With a pleasing spread across the finger and a low profile, this ring is as comfortable to wear as it is captivating. The shoulders are solid and lead straight into a solid 18ct yellow gold band.
Excellent: all stones are secure and well set, with no damage to the mount. Professionally polished and carefully inspected by our workshop, ready to wear and enjoy.
Unless stated otherwise, gem weights and specifications are estimated (assessed in mount).
