Karen M. Gutfreund is an independent curator and artist with a focus on feminist and social justice art and has curated/directed 45+ national exhibitions. As a text-based artist, she has exhibited extensively around the country. "Woke All Day" uses humor to confront a sobering reality: the ongoing dismantling of DEI efforts across the country. The work plays with the tension between exhaustion and vigilance, acknowledging how the fight for equity persists even as its structures are challenged.
