Our most popular bed swing, the Charleston is a classic; sleek, elegant, simple, beautiful. Each Charleston begins with hand selected lumber which is then milled & joined by hand, finished by hand, and finally painted or stained by hand. 

As with all of our beds, the Charleston is joined with free floating mortise & tenon joinery — not screws. This results in a finished product that practically functions as a single piece of wood; no creaking, no squeaking. Our Charleston is the perfect swing for every porch, whether in the Lowcountry or beyond!

Cushions & Hanging Methods

Bed swing mattresses, cushions and pillows are sold separately in their appropriate categories. All pillow types may be purchased a la cart or you can simply choose one of our popular pre-styled Bed Swing Cushion Packages. Ropes, Chains, Metal Sheppard Hook Hanging Rods Or Stainless Cables are not included and may be purchased in our Hanging Options Category.

Size Customizations

We do not charge extra to customize the sizes of our bed swings. However, our pricing on any custom size less than a Twin will be the Twin price. Any custom size larger than Twin but less than Full will be the price of a Full size. Please list the desired custom dimensions in the Special Request Notes.

Freight Notice

Due to the size of the packaging of any larger items such as bed swings or mattresses/cushions, shipments will be delivered by a large 18-wheeler freight truck. Please include a phone number when ordering so the driver can get in touch upon delivery. Once your package arrives at your nearest dispatch terminal, the freight company will call to schedule a day for delivery. It is the customer's responsibility to receive the shipment at the delivery truck and it is the customer's responsibility to inspect any items for damage immediately; if any are found please take pictures and notify us immediately.

Bottom Anchor Points - Hole cuts are at 86" and 40” for TWIN; 86” x 54” for FULL.  Consider ceiling attachment points directly above or wider to prevent rope (or chain) from making contact with the armrests and causing undue wear.  The front to back width at ceiling does not impact rope contact with the armrest.
