The Gelpi is an extremely versatile retractor used in almost any orthopaedic procedure. Self-retaining - two blades, hinged in the middle, which separate as the handles are closed and are held by a ratchet making them self-retaining.

It features sharp pin jaws and the tips of the blades have a hook to engage on the edge of the incision. The tips are short to give the surgeon excellent control and precision and focal retraction for precise exposure of the fracture or lesion.
