D-chiroinositol is a member of a family of related substances often referred to collectively as “inositol”. It is commonly used orally for treating a disorder called metabolic syndrome and conditions associated with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), including failure to ovulate, high blood pressure, high triglycerides, and high levels of testosterone. It is also used for depression, schizophrenia, and anxiety disorders. L-methylfolate is the biologically active form of vitamin B9. It is to treat or prevent low folate levels. Low folate levels can lead to certain types of anemia. Conditions that can cause low folate levels include poor diet, pregnancy, alcoholism, liver disease, certain stomach/intestinal problems, kidney dialysis, among others. L-methylfolate is the naturally occurring, biologically active form of folic acid, synthesized by the human body; it is safe to take during pregnancy. Myo-inositol is a member of the vitamin B-complex group. It is a dietary supplement and is used in the treatment of diabetic neuropathy, depression, Alzheimer’s disease, panic disorder and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Emerging evidence shows promise for the use of myo-inositol in the reduction/prevention of gestational diabetes (GDM) in patients with PCOS or those at risk due to GDM or prior family history. It is classified as an insulin-sensitizing agent which acts to regulate a number of cellular functions including improved insulin utilization. It appears at least as effective as metformin, another insulin-sensitizing drug.

Clinical studies have shown that myo-inositol may also:
