This publication written by Kevin V. Mulligan, accompanied the Irish Georgian Society exhibition of the same name which ran in October 2024. 

It was the culmination of a multi-year research project into the portrait miniature in eighteenth-century Ireland and specifically the rich web of associations linking the miniature to the Irish country house. 

Both the book and exhibition were due to the hugely generous donation by the late Edmund Corrigan of a large collection of portrait miniatures to the IGS, which have been put on public display in Castletown, County Kildare and Doneraile Court, County Cork. Both properties are run by the Office of Public Works (OPW).
