Step-by-Step Guide on How to Install Your NuvoH2O Home Water Softener System

For those who feel confident in their plumbing abilities or for those who prefer a trusted plumber unfamiliar with the Nuvo H2O Home system, we've created a new installation video. This video ensures the proper functionality of your NuvoH2O system, simplifies maintenance and facilitates future cartridge changes. Watch the video above and follow the steps below to ensure optimal performance of your system.

Step 1: Shut off the water main to ensure safety during installation.

Step 2: Securely attach the mounting bracket to the wall studs, ensuring it is level for proper support.

Step 3: Unwrap and remove all plastic and packaging materials from the system components.

Step 4: Mount the system head onto the bracket, ensuring it is installed vertically with the blue head positioned at the top.

Step 5: Install a pressure regulator before the  NuvoH2O Home Water Softener System, adjusting it to a range of 45-65 PSI.

Step 6: Follow the provided diagram to install a bypass system.

Step 7: Seal the connections using 3 to 4 wraps of Teflon tape, avoiding over-tightening. Connect flexible hoses from the inlet and outlet pipes to the corresponding ports on the system.

Step 8: Apply lubricant to the o-ring located at the top of the sump, using the packet provided in the system box.

Step 9: Before insertion, remove the protective plastic wrap from the cartridge.

Step 10: Insert the cartridge into the sump and ensure it is properly seated.

Step 11: Position the sump directly beneath the head and screw it in until the hand is tight. Use the wrench provided to secure it further.

Step 12: Loosen the pressure release valve on the head using a screwdriver. Place a bucket underneath to catch any spills.

Step 13: Open the first bypass valve to allow water to fill the sump. When water starts to leak from the pressure release valve, tighten it to close.

Step 14: Close the first bypass valve and allow the cartridge to sit in the housing without water flow for one hour. Open the main valve to allow water to flow throughout the household during this time.

Step 15: After one hour, close the main bypass valve and open the first and last bypass valves to allow water to flow through the system.
