Installation Guidelines: To achieve the best performance, use a single Cat6 or higher Ethernet cable without any couplers or extenders to minimize contact resistance. Keep the cable length under 175 feet (50 meters) to maintain reliable operation. If you're using crimped Ethernet cables, make sure the RJ45 connectors are securely attached. When installing the waterproof socket, handle the cable ends carefully to avoid twisting or damaging them.

RV Enthusiasts Tip: If you need to use an Ethernet cable coupler or extender, choose Cat6A or higher cables with 23AWG or thicker wiring and high-quality RJ45 connectors to ensure a stable connection. Additionally, because third-party PoE injectors can sometimes provide inconsistent power, we recommend using standard Ethernet cables (23AWG or better) with a maximum length of 75 feet for the most reliable performance.
