Optimal Performance Conditions:

• pH requirements:
  • Iron removal: pH above 6.8
  • Manganese removal: pH 8.0–9.0 (or below 8.5 if iron is also present)
• Dissolved oxygen level: Should be at least 15% of total iron and manganese content
