This cluster ring comes from a turning point in jewellery design – the very end of the 19^th century, which heralded the beginning of the era known as the ‘Belle Époque’. This setting, while still in the traditional 19^th century medium of silver on gold, is already displaying the lightness and grace that defined the jewels of the Belle Epoque era, with the rich blue central sapphire surrounded by an arrangement of cushion-shaped diamonds, each delicately highlighted with an outer border of rose diamonds.
